The ACFE is the world’s largest anti-fraud organisation and premier provider of anti-fraud training and education. Based in Austin, Texas, the ACFE was founded in 1988 by prominent fraud expert and author Dr. Joseph T. Wells CFE.
Mauritius Chapter ACFE is a national chapter of the ACFE. Established in YYYY, the chapter provides professional and educational support to Certified Fraud Examiners, Statutory and Internal Auditors, holds workshops and conferences on fraud related issues, represent the interest of CFE and other anti-Fraud professionals to Government agencies and corporates.
The Mauritius chapter comprises of members representing wide spectrum of enforcement agencies, Top 10 Accounting firms. The chapter is in Mauritian jurisdiction.
A Certified Fraud examiner conducts expert investigations regarding possible illegal activity in banks, corporations and retail stores. He or she reviews documentation and interviews suspects to work out the details of a financial fraud claim. In addition, examiners initiate fraud deterrence and prevention programs to help companies avoid future problems.
